Ostwald Bros. was crowned Business of Year at the 2007 Dalby Business Excellence Awards held in Dalby on Friday night in recognition of outstanding business achievement.
General manager Matthew Ostwald who was there to accept the award acknowledged team effort as the cornerstone of the company’s success.
“I’d like to thank our staff for their contribution towards this award. Our staff are our strength and it is their dedication to their work and their commitment to excellence that has allowed us to succeed.
“It’s exciting to look back to where we began 17 years ago with one employee and one scraper and consider where we are today.
“The journey has not been without its pitfalls but we’ve ridden the highs and the lows and it’s great to be standing here tonight accepting this award for business excellence.”
Mr Ostwald thanked the Dalby business community for its support and for providing a solid base from which the company was able to grow and expand.
“Dalby is certainly going ahead with major development projects to the west and we hold great confidence for the region’s future.”
Mr Ostwald congratulated the Dalby Chamber of Commerce and Industry for providing an event that highlights the strength of the local business community.
“A strong business community means a strong town and the growth Dalby’s Business Excellence Awards demonstrates the importance of a vibrant business sector.”
Dalby Chamber of Commerce president Paul Hodda congratulated Ostwald Bros. on their title.
